Manuel de Falla (1876-1946, Spanish)

Haven’t reviewed anything very significant so far of Falla, although I have a lot in my CD and score library. Time time time and may I be granted 200 years of good-hearing life.

Just his “Tombeau de Claude Debussy” for guitar and a guitar arrrangement of the Dance of the Miller from The Tri-cornered Hat, played by Narciso Yepes on “Jeux Interdits / Forbidden Games”, Accord 139225 (1986) or 222032 (with works of Anonymous/Yepes, Granados, Sor, Mateo Albéniz, Tàrrega, Isaac Albéniz, Bach, Rodrigo). As good an introduction to the art of Yepes as you will find.
