I know the music of Joseph Fennimore only through his 1983 piano piece Crystal Stairs, performed by Marthanne Verbit on Albany Troy 071, “Valentines” (1992), with works of Gershwin, Antheil, Ornstein, Cyril Scott and John Diercks. It “is a big Romantic thing full of notes with some jazzy offbeat rhythms. Its style seems to me a not very palatable blend of Rachmaninoff and Gershwin“.
