John Lurie, the famous progressive jazz (if that’s what it is) performer and founding member of The Lounge Lizards, but also composer of film music, actor, director, painter (see Wikipedia entry for the details – link will open new tab), appears in my reviews through the music from his soundtrack for the 1984 Jim Jarmush film, Stranger than Paradise, performed by the Balanescu Quartet (with works of David Byrne, Robert Moran and Michael Torke) on Argo 436 565-2 (1992).
