VERY obscure 18th-Century Italian composer, whose dates and even birthplace (tentative Naples) have been lost by posterity, and known through a few works for Mandolin whose manuscripts are detained by Bibliothèque Nationale de France and others in Europe. At least Giuliano gets a (very scanty) entry on French Wikipedia. His Mandolin Concerto was recorded in 1971 by Alessandro Pitrelli and I Solisti Veneti under Claudio Scimone, reissued to CD in 2009 on Erato 5050466-5691-2-7 with three other Mandolin concertos by three equally obscure Italian composers. The music is lovely.
