Georges Delerue (1925-1992, French)

Georges Delerue is best known as a composer of film music. I don’t have much of him in my collection, and the only piece I’ve reviewed is the not very significant Madrigal for solo trombone and trombone quintet, performed by the Dutch New Trombone Collective on Etcetera KC 1284, part of the 3-CD set KTC 1355. Lyrical and brooding, but cutting no edges and predictable.
