Enrique Crespo is a trombonist from Uruguay (always brings back to mind Groucho’s punch-line, “you go Uruguay and I go mine”) and the founder of the German brass ensemble German Brass. He’s also an arranger and composer. His Bruckner Etüde für das tiefe Blech (a piece in the style of Bruckner’s great brass chorales, for six trombones) and his arrangement of the Jazz standard of Bob Haggart and Johnny Burke What’s New, are featured on Etcetera’s 3-CD collection of the Dutch New Trombone Collective, KTC 1355. Not very significant.
