VERY obscure 18th-Century Italian composer, whose dates and even birthplace (conjectures include Naples and Novara) have been lost, and known through only one Mandolin concerto with two manuscript copies kept at the Library of the University of Upsala and Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and recorded in 1971 by Bonifaccio Bianchi and I Solisti Veneti under Claudio Scimone, reissued to CD in 2009 on Erato 5050466-5691-2-7 with three other Mandolin concertos by three equally obscure Italian composers. The music is lovely.
