One more repost of a decade old review: of AS Disc AS 568 (1990), part of the label’s Koussevitzky Edition, with Heifetz in live performances of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto from 2 September 1950 and Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto from 1 April 1947.
In fact I had never posted the review in that form on Amazon.com, as the CD wasn’t listed back then (and, apparently, still isn’t). So I posted the Beethoven part under another edition of the same performance (on Doremi), and the Prokofiev part under Cembal d’Amour’s edition. So the two pieces of the coin are now reunited at last.
